General Announcements

Signatures
All documents must be signed properly on signature line.  The signature must be either a wet signature that is scanned or the electronic signature which has to read as follows: /s/John Doe.  If pleadings are not signed in this manner they will be rejected.
Scanning
Documents that are scanned for submission should be scanned in black and white at a 200 DPI resolution in order to ensure document integrity.
Service Contact/Emails
To receive orders filed by the court, you must attach yourself to the service list of any case you are involved in. Be sure that ccservice@wiznet.com is allowed by any spam or junk email filters.
Case Initiation
Beginning November 1, 2011, new civil complaints may be voluntarily eFiled on all "A", "C" and "N" case types.
Record of Divorce
ATTENTION:  Please do not submit your Record of Divorce or Annulment form with your Judgment of Divorce.  Please contact your Judge's chambers for further instructions on when to submit the Record of Divorce.
ePraecipe
All praecipes on eFiling cases must be submitted through Oakland County ePraecipe, otherwise your motion will not be scheduled. Effective April 17, 2008, ePraecipes will also be accepted for non-eFiling cases.
Courtesy Copy for Judge
When submitting a document through Wiznet, do not include a courtesy copy of your eFiling to the judge.  eFiled documents are routed electronically to each eFile judge. However, judges require a paper copy of all summary disposition documents, and may require paper copies of certain documents on request. If you have questions regarding this matter, please contact the judge's chambers.
eFiling in Probate
Beginning November 1, 2011, all DE, DA, CZ and TV case types assigned to Daniel A. O'Brien will be subject to mandatory eFiling for all filings after case initiation.  The only exceptions are:
  • Inventories being presented pursuant to MCL 700.3706 must be presented in person or by regular mail.
  • Inventory fees must be paid in person or by regular mail.
  • If a Last Will and Testament must be submitted after case initiation, a copy of the Will should be eFiled with the petition/application.  The original Will and a copy of the petition/application should be submitted to the court within 14 days.
